Our plastering service provides high-quality internal finishes, delivered with precision across a variety of substrates and settings. JSI applies traditional two-coat plaster, skim finishes, float and set systems, and patch repairs as part of full-package or standalone works.
Plastering Service
All applications are carried out to BS EN standards, with careful consideration of drying times, surface preparation, and environmental conditions to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality. We are experienced in managing both small-area touch-ups and large-scale, high-volume plastering programmes, often under fast-track conditions.
Traditional Lime Render & Lime Plastering
JSI undertakes the application of traditional lime render and lime plastering systems for heritage, listed, and conservation-sensitive buildings, as well as sympathetic new-build developments. Lime-based materials provide breathability and flexibility, making them ideal for solid-wall construction where modern cement-based systems may cause long-term damage. We use NHL (Natural Hydraulic Lime) or lime putty mixes depending on specification, ensuring correct build-up, mix ratios, and curing methods are followed in line with heritage guidance and Building Control requirements. Our operatives are experienced in working under Listed Building Consent and alongside conservation officers, architects, and local authorities to deliver finishes that respect the original fabric while meeting current performance standards. Whether restoring façades or applying internal lime plaster finishes, we ensure durability, authenticity, and compliance throughout.
Working closely with drylining, decoration, and snagging teams, we ensure a smooth workflow and defect-free results ready for final inspection and handover.
